For 46 years, Iran's regime has propagated genocidal rhetoric, coercing its people to chant "Death to Israel" and "Death to the West." This systemic indoctrination must be universally condemned, akin to Canada's acknowledgment of past injustices against Indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities. Such recognition is critical in dismantling frameworks of hate and fostering global solidarity.

Iran must hold an internationally monitored referendum on the hijab and state religion. If the majority of Iranians choose to abide by Islamic laws, their will should be respected.
